The wax gives a somewhat fatty impression and the maintenance requires some attention (every day for frequently used floors and every month in a private home). The floor must be stripped and regularly redone.

Waxing is only recommended for very porous floors (terracotta,…) or frequently used rooms that require everyday maintenance anyway.

Waxing of natural stone floors is a highly appreciated technique in some areas to hide flaws. The wax will act as a pore filler and will reduce visibility of the existing scratches and provides excellent protection.
