Cement tiles, although aesthetically pleasing, possess a natural porosity that makes them particularly vulnerable to embedded dirt and stains if not properly treated. For this project located in the Comines region, our mission was to restore the floor's integrity while providing a more sophisticated finish. The intervention began with a technical analysis to pinpoint weakened areas, followed by the meticulous repair of chips to restore the visual unity of the patterns and the flatness of the surface.
Beyond simple repair, we implemented a gloss enhancement protocol to meet the client's requirements. Unlike a simple cleaning, this in-depth work revives colors dulled by time and gives the floor a deep, lasting shine. This finishing step transforms the matte, worn look of the raw cement into a luminous surface, revealing the full richness of the original pigments.
Finally, the longevity of this result is ensured by the rigorous application of a protective treatment. We carried out a waterproofing process using a water and oil repellent, essential for saturating the cement's pores and hardening it. This invisible barrier effectively protects against daily wear and tear and significantly facilitates maintenance. This project illustrates our specific expertise in porous materials: a renovation that combines restored aesthetics with increased technical resistance.
