This project illustrates the complete metamorphosis of a reconstituted marble floor that the wear of time had left dull, stained, and cracked. The renovation was not limited to simple surface cleaning; it required a deep restructuring of the covering. Our intervention began with technical leveling and intensive sanding—essential steps to remove old coatings, strip away embedded stains, and reveal the healthy stone beneath.
The unique nature of this project lies in our ability to treat "unrecoverable" areas. To ensure a perfect aesthetic, we custom-crafted new tiles to replace elements that were too damaged, all while maintaining the visual harmony of the existing floor. This replacement work, combined with precise filling and multiple crack repairs, restored the physical integrity of the paving.
Once the surface was unified, we focused on the finishes to bring back the floor’s luminosity. The process included careful polishing to achieve a honed base, followed by crystallization. This mechano-chemical reaction brought out a dazzling shine and hardened the surface for better durability. Finally, a suitable protection was applied to facilitate daily maintenance. The result is a transformed, solid, and brilliant floor that has regained all its original character.
