Introduction

Wine, cola, fruit juice and descaler stains…

Wine, cola, champagne, vinegar and all other acidic products attack a marble floor (and other types of limestone)in two ways. First of all with an acidic attack which leaves the surface in a rough condition and opens the structure of the stone. This problem can be solved by slightly grinding the stone and optionally polishing.
Since the surface is opened by the acid, there can be absorption of color and coloration within the stone.

The color can often be absorbed with the same technique used to absorb fat (more info…).
